Ministry Training Source knows that ministers serve in a variety of roles and situations, requiring preparation for ministry to be flexible and adaptable to their unique needs. Accessibility and individual learning plans are keys to preparing of ministers in the 21st century.
MTS will facilitate a 10-day online course/dialogue on lay ecclesial ministry for seven dioceses, along with NACYML membership. The course is based the document Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord. It aims to help participants reflect individually and corporately on lay ecclesial ministry. It also will prepare participants to lead workshops or discussions on Co-Workers in the ministry setting.
MTS technology resources enable both asynchronous and synchronous online learning opportunities. MTS can facilitate live internet sessions that provide two-way audio communication with interactive technology, including live polls and PowerPoint presentations. Additionally, MTS has developed computer-based resources to train adults ministering to youth and to guide people of all ages in prayer using PowerPoint technology.
The Computer-Based Ministry Training Series facilitates self-directed learning for lay ecclesial ministers and face-to-face training of volunteers and parents. MTS has CBMTs on Evangelizing and Catechizing Catholic Youth, the National Study of Youth and Religion, and Co-Workers in the Vineyard of the Lord.
