Coming Soon to a Website Near You
Cover of the Catholic Religious Recognition Moderator Training PacketThe latest resources to be approved by the PMC include several “Ready to Go” certification articles and training outlines, which will soon be available to both diocesan and parish leaders. Those items of general interest will appear on the Federation’s main website, while the diocesan-specific resources will go up onto the I-net. The documents should be in the last stages of revision; the resources will be uploaded as soon as the new web pages are prepared. The PMC joins the membership in thanking the Certification and Accreditation Commission for these materials and for all the fine work they have done with the common and specialized competencies. Also available online is the Catholic Religious Recognition Moderator Training Packet, which is located under the NCCGSCF section of the website.

In the Meantime...
Members of the PMC (Brian Singer-Townes and Vikki Shepp) work with Michael Theisen, general editor for the Youth Ministry Resource Manual, at the mid-year review meeting. When the PMC met for its mid-year review meeting in June, the first item on the agenda was the 2005 Youth Ministry Resource Manual, which makes its debut at the NCCYM in Pittsburgh. Many thanks to the writers, artists, and editors who give life to this amazing resource every year. We received a recommendation to delay the revision of From Age to Age for a couple of years. In the future we look forward to approving the redesigned youth ministry recognition medals.

New Member
We welcome new member Anthony Albence of Wilmington to the management committee, but always find ourselves in need of more members. Please pass on any names of people you think would be good as either committee members or occasional advisors/task group members to Kathy Carver or lsterten@dioscg.org. On behalf of the PMC, I hope you have a great summer; we will look forward to seeing you in Pittsburgh.
