Adult Training and Certification (ATCMC)
If you enjoyed NCCYM 2006 and its special features such as Café Soul and the preconference retreat, you have tasted the fruits of ATCMC’s standing committees and task groups. NCCYM planners work hard to facilitate the collaboration that makes NCCYM happen.
Three NFCYM training in-services are now offered. Download a brochure today (
54K). Topics include: “Renewing the Vision of Youth Ministry,” “Tools for the Vineyard: Empowering Lay Leaders for Ministry in the Fields,” and “National Study of Youth and Religion: Will Our Faith Have Children?”
Speaking of NSYR, new ways to use it are being explored. These include articles, resources and a national symposium.
ATCMC’s efforts to promote professionalism include updating NFCYM’s Code of Ethics and working with other national ministry organizations on the renewal of the National Certification Standards.
“Second Wind,” an experience for veteran diocesan leaders, has been redesigned and will piggyback the 2008 NCCYM or Membership Meeting. The New Diocesan Directors Institute continues to serve record numbers.
ATCMC is discussing ways to meet the needs of diocesan directors in a changing ministry environment. Please participate in a session at the membership meeting on this topic. ATCMC invites new members to its many task groups.
